Nucleus® 6

I cannot hear any sound when I turn on my sound processor.

  1. Check the indicator light.

The indicator light should be green. If it doesn't turn on, please see My sound processor won't turn on.
  2. Check the coil cable.

Make sure the coil cable is fully inserted into the socket on your sound processor.
  3. Do you use Advanced mode?

If you do, turn up the volume or sensitivity, or try a different program. You can see how to do this on page 62 of the user guide.
  4. Does your sound processor use the SCAN program?

The automatic adjustments of the SCAN program can sometimes make it seem as if the sound processor is turning on and off.
  5. Do you use a remote control?

If you do, turn up the volume.
  6. Are you using two sound processors?

If you are, make sure you have them on the correct side.
  7. Try a different program.

To change between programs, quickly press and release the lower button on your sound processor. There's a step-by-step guide on how to do this on page 15 of the user guide.
  8. Recharge or replace the batteries.

You'll find a step-by-step guide for how to do this on page 7 of the user guide.
