The sound from my sound processor is muffled.


  1. Try a different program.

    You can choose between programs to change the way your sound processor deals with sound (e.g. in noisy or quiet places). Press the button on your sound processor to switch between programs.
  2. Are you using a remote control?

    If you are, turn up the volume.
  3. Replace the microphone protectors.

    There's a step-by-step guide for how to do this on page 30 of your user guide. It's good practice to change microphone protectors every three months.
  4. Do you have long hair?

    Often, because the Kanso® Sound Processor is so flat, people can cover it with their hair. This will cause the sound to sometimes become muffled.
